In the new OPPENHEIMER film they are smoking too much!
Even worse: They are dealing with ATOMIC BOMBS. In the midst of political madness.
Einstein, the Dane Niels Bohr and other "demigods" of that era are being portrayed too.

 

People smoked like a coal fired industrial plant back then. Really. They would chain smoke.

8 out of 10 Indiana jones latest movie. Having watched the whole franchise seems a good ending to Fords participation, some good cameo and plays on historical scenes and lines. The ccg was obvious but worked well with the action sequences, nice . Full disclosure I’m a Harrison Ford fan.

7 out of 10 latest mission impossible, imho not as good as Indiana jones but full credit to cruise at 60 odd years old doing that amount of stunt work, legendary status. The story sadly had too many holes for my liking, although I was amused by the opening scene concept that the Russian sub commits suicide ( this was filmed pre Ukrainian invasion) as it didn’t want to fight, my warped humour lol, the movie goes on to explain the opening scene later on. But seeing in real time how Putin and his monkeys are jizzing themselves it was funny to me.
I’m a huge fan of cruise also but his stunt work just can carry the storyline so far. The fight scene on roof of the train was comical, in a bad way.

I will go see Oppenheimer soon, I will watch it without the selfish euro trash attitude that some seem to view it with. As a student of history I have no delusions of applying sanctimonious new age speak to the movie. Perhaps others could take some time and actually research that dark period of world history then go see the movie as I’m sure there will be some embellishments and some omissions of facts. It’s a movie I believe and not a gospel historical piece.

I will also wait for barbifever to die down and go and see that also. Once again I will try to view that in a non euro trash hypocritical way. That being of course without labels of sexism, elitism, gender neutral and of course racism. I was asked by some Asian (Nepalese)friends why the big cultist nature of barbitas at the moment and I explained it was a western phenomenon of the last 50 odd years that had touched nearly everyone to a certain degree, negative, positively and neutral didn’t matter but most of western countries are aware of Ken and barbie. Just the prepress alone is a laughable thing, astoundingly going to the internet to discuss if children should see it. Yes even euro trashy thinking is pervasive.

You can see actors portraying these "smoking gods" in the new Oppenheimer movie. No laughing matter. Three hours and just a few funny episodes. In his real life Oppenheimer read BhagavadGita and other ancient Indian stuff. But in the movie an intercourse was interrupted:
The woman took a book and showed Oppenheimer the SANSKRIT TEXT and asked him to translate a sentence from it before returning to the intercourse.

While waiting on rain delay ashes fourth test I watched the movie black Adam , it’s a 10 out of 10 because of the put down of euro trash attitude. It was the classic rebuttal of why would some euro trash would come to this country of Kandqu (?) and try and save them now with their euro trash attitude of justice and euro trash righteousness because it suits the euro trash agenda now , yet for years the the country has been fighting oppression from gangs and the euro trash turned a blind eye.
Hawkmana wanted to stamp the euro trash way in a place where they are deemed hypocritical and the movie rightly displays that euro trash hypocrisy. Needless to say the black Adam triumphants doing the business that needs to be done without the euro trash .
Typically in true euro trash style hawkmana was obvious and left for euro trashvill. End of movie, big disclaimer I’m a Rock fan so he’s probably influenced me in my assessment of the euro trash bashing the movie presented although the euro trash line was delivered by the female character of the film.
I do see parallels with the current situation in Ukraine and the euro trash attitude playing out now. Admittedly it’s good to see at least the euro trash helping out financially, militarily but maybe they could tone down the holier than thou euro trash as it’s embarrassing because Ukraine is doing the heavy lifting for them.
